Owners Katelyn and Taylor purchased their dream property in 2021 and in the Summer of 2022, it’s where they were wed. A dream was sparked from that day forward… A dream to host all sorts of love and share the 100 acres that has become so special to them. Woodbridge Acres aims to provide a beautiful, picturesque and serene outdoor space for love to be celebrated with those most special to you.

Why Choose Woodbridge

WE BUILT THIS VENUE FROM THE GROUND UP

With the help of family and friends, Woodbridge has been curated singled handedly by it’s owners blood, sweat & tears. When you’re supporting us, you’re supporting a family with big dreams to share!

THE SQUAREBODY

This truck is Taylor’s pride and joy in which he rebuilt by himself using three different trucks. He is always so thrilled when couples choose to include it in their wedding celebrations. Whether that be taking photos together in the bench seat or dropping the tailgate for cuddle in the back - it adds that perfect ‘wow’ factor to your wedding day that so many couples have really loved - especially grooms!

ULTIMATE PRIVACY

Woodbridge boasts a beautiful and serene 100 acre property. Neighboring properties are 100-200 acres with a beautiful, quiet hay field across the road. Peever line is a quiet dirt road allowing the venue the perfect, private setting to host your event.

DOG FRIENDLY

Allowing your canine family members to join you in your ceremony and photos afterwards is important to us as our dogs are our family too. We are one of the few venues in the area that allow dogs to be a part of your celebration and we hope to continue to do so for many years to come! We do ask that you designate someone specifically to care for them during their time here and always keep them on leash. This ensures safety for not only them but also our horses on property as well which is very important to us.

HORSES ON SITE

Our family includes 2 horses (Mica & Ivy) and 1 small mule (Daisy May) who live on site full time. They thoroughly enjoy their roles as background models in the beautiful front field while they work tirelessly to maintain the grass. Their efforts are most appreciated and they are always rewarded with lots of love and treats.

PHOTO BACKDROPS

The venue grounds offer stunning beauty in every direction. Spring-Fall we experience a variety of wildflowers growing throughout almost the entire property in addition to the well groomed gardens and landscapes.

OUR NAMESAKE - THE BRIDGE

A brand new addition adding unique charm. The bridge made of railway ties placed by hand was how the name Woodbridge came to be. The flowing creek below it adds peace and tranquility to the already serene large property.

DONATIONS TO ALL HEART PET RESCUE

We actively donate and offer to enable our couples to donate to our neighbors, ALL HEART PET RESCUE. If a couple wishes to leave their empty alcohol containers behind after an event, we will bring the empties to the local Beer store and donate the funds to the ALL HEART PET RESCUE. We are always happy to provide proof of donation to our couples. Rescuing animals has been a passion of ours for many years and we are so happy to help a local rescue/neighbor.

Taylor grew up in North Bay in a large, close knit, outdoor oriented family. He’s been an avid hunter since a young age and is a certified carpenter by trade. He spent his apprenticeship building houses from start to finish. Many would argue that there are very few things he can’t accomplish without a little help from his family/friends or YouTube. He’s a huge animal lover, especially his dogs and even grew up with his dad’s horses. He is always smiling and laughing and never taking life too seriously. He is constantly helping out his friends and family with his knowledge and skillset and absolutely loves life on the farm. Katelyn jokes he should start his own YouTube channel and call it, ‘Tinkering with Taylor’ patent pending.

Katelyn grew up in a small town just south of St. Thomas. She has shared a passion for horses with her mom since birth. She purchased her first horse after saving up enough working at Home Hardware after high school. Katelyn worked at a vet clinic for a number of years before deciding she wanted to pursue a change in scenery and moved to North Bay on an absolute whim in 2016. Little did she know she’d completely fall in love with the area (& the man of her dreams) just a few short years later. Katelyn believes in helping both people and animals, which led her to participate in volunteer trips in Guatemala and Peru helping people with their dental needs and bringing with her a large amount of donated clothing. The team was so thrilled when Taylor joined her in Peru because he was without a doubt, the handiest person there and absolutely saved the day when the compressor (dental life-line) quit working!

But it was their shared passion for running that finally brought these two together after years of friendship. Who knew it would only take running a 4 hour long marathon (42.2kms) to make them realize they were meant for each other. Friends and family joke that they must have known that if they could run together, side by side, for 4 hours straight - they could certainly get through life, marriage and now owning a business together. And that’s just what they’ve set out to do - two very determined souls - pursuing their dream of bringing to life so much love within the community!
